1. Who we are
CLD (Collaborative Learning Development) is an educational platform developed at Navoi State University for organising collaborative learning: courses, group tasks, feedback, reflection, and assessment. This policy explains what information the platform stores and how it is used.
2. Information we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, role (teacher or student), and academic group, provided when you register.
- Learning records — the content you create while studying: submissions and revisions, contributions in method workspaces, group chat messages, peer feedback, reflections, and the scores and reports produced from them.
- Activity data — events such as opening a task, submitting work, or sending a message, with timestamps. These power the platform's analysis, time-management, and early-warning features.
- Technical data — a session cookie needed for login. The platform sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
3. How your information is used
Your data is used only to run the platform: forming groups and assigning roles, unlocking tasks, generating the AA (individual academic activity) and ColAT (collaborative interaction) analyses, calculating assessment results, building portfolios, and producing course reports for your teacher and university. We do not sell data, show advertising, or use your data for anything unrelated to your education.
4. AI-assisted analysis
Parts of the analysis can be AI-assisted: short excerpts of written work (submissions, feedback, reflections) may be sent to an external language-model service (currently Google Gemini) to evaluate qualities such as critical thinking. Only the text needed for the analysis is sent — never your password or account credentials. When the AI service is unavailable, the platform falls back to its built-in metrics and no text leaves the server. Every report is labelled with the method used ("AI-assisted" or "Metrics only").
5. Who can see your data
- You see your own submissions, scores, reports, and portfolio.
- Your group sees the shared workspaces and group chat of tasks you work on together.
- Your teacher sees the work, analyses, and results of students in their courses.
- Platform administrators maintain the system and access data only for that purpose.
6. Storage and security
Data is stored in the platform's database on university-managed infrastructure. Passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes — nobody, including administrators, can read them. Access to the platform is over authenticated sessions, and role checks restrict every page to the people it is meant for.
7. Retention
Learning records are kept for the duration of your studies so that portfolios and academic reports remain complete, and are removed or anonymised when no longer needed for educational documentation. You may request removal of your account by contacting us.
